The optional Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) can do some of the work for you, automatically taking over the tasks of clutch operation and gear-shifting. Among other features, the available Riding Assistant offers forward collision warning, and adaptive distance control (ACC) for a more fun ride.

The engine has truly earned its sporty moniker: boxer. Packing a unique punch, it is made for a sporty ride, chasing curves and straight sections. It allows for a relaxed ride with minimal gear-shifting over long distances, as well as offering a spontaneous kick whenever you fancy it. It’s always ready to sprint, offering you 145 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque. Its broad rotational speed range allows for powerful torque build-up, even at low rotational speeds.

The sleek front area with style-defining fairing, aggressive-looking headlights and the 2-tone windscreen – everything is designed for high performance. The R 1300 RS comes with a comprehensive range of equipment as standard. With our cleverly composed optional equipment packages, you can tailor the sport tourer to precisely meet your own personal preferences. Show off your sporty side with the dynamics package. Elevate your comfort when touring with the comfort package or touring package.
Dynamics package
More fun, added control. The Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) and Shift Assistant Pro allow for rapid gear changes with no need to even touch the clutch. With the Riding Modes Pro and DSA, your bike can adapt to most any situation on the road. The Sport brake is also a reliable aid.
Comfort package
Elevate your comfort on tours: The seat and grip heating will help you hold out for longer on cold days. The tire pressure monitor (TPM) monitors the inflation level of your tires. As such, the comfort package gives you a boost to comfort, confidence and performance.
Touring package
With a central locking system, center stand, luggage carrier, topcase holder and case holder, the touring package is designed to meet the needs of long-distance riders. The preparation for a navigation device allows you to operate a navigation device or smartphone with the help of a Mount Cradle.
