The RR is now even more focused and more precisely geared towards pure performance. For those who increasingly demand more. More from themselves. More each lap. And more from their RR. Simply put: #NeverStopChallenging. Leading the way is a matter of millimeters, especially in the circles the RR has always been a part of. That’s why we have streamlined and evolved the RR where it matters most: from the new steering angle sensor with Brake Slide Assist and Slide Control as well as the integration of M components and improvements to the electronics and crucial processes for modifying the bike for the race track. And all this with a clear goal in mind – claiming the pole position over and over again.
Pushing towards the head of the class: the brake originates from the M RR. For deceleration with maximum braking stability and feedback – paired with precise adaptation to Race ABS.
Attach an action cam to the carbon seat pad; featuring a recess with an adapter and install the GPS mouse of the M data logger including lap trigger.
More than just appearance: The new rear makes the RR seem even lighter, sportier and more dynamic. The optionally available M Cover kit for track days is easy to attach, just like in professional racing.
Details and transfers from motorsport: The cylinder head geometry is identical to that in the M RR. In addition, the power output is 205 hp.
Reduce helmet vibration: newly designed front with tall windscreen provides improved aerodynamics around the head. The isolation of the fork bridge brings about further aerodynamic advantages.
Work like the professionals: the optionally available M Data Logger with GPS-Laptrigger makes it possible to automatically record lap times and evaluate relevant riding data on more than 300 racetracks worldwide. European model shown.
Every ounce counts: the high-quality and durable M Lightweight battery with state-of-the-art lithium-ion technology saves a full 4.4 lbs of weight.
Up to 37.7 lbs: front and side trim panels have been reworked for optimal downforce and improved aerodynamics. The winglets, familiar from the M RR, have been specially modified.
Depending on the speed, composite plastic winglets generate up to 37.7 lbs aerodynamic downforce at 186 mph. This downforce counteracts the tendency of the front wheel to lift off the road surface when accelerating: the fork maintains contact with the ground and DTC isn’t forced to intervene as much. This allows you to noticeably and even more directly convert drive power into acceleration.
Off to pit lane after laps around the race track: the last screen is now always displayed after having switched the ignition off/on. This will keep your concentration levels high and you focused on your mode. One Pure Ride Screen and three different Core Screens are available depending on your preference. The system displays an appropriate maximum speed when the engine is cold. Thanks to the flashing gearshift indicator, the tachometer now flashes as an additional indicator.
It’s about millimeters to gain feedback and riding precision: The M chassis kit with raised rear end and adjustable swing arm pivot is standard. Frame recesses provide greater lateral flexibility. We have lowered the steering head angle by 0.5° to 66.4° and reduced the offset of the fork bridges by 3 mm to 25.5 mm for front wheel accuracy. And removing the rear wheel has been simplified by using captive axle bushes and optimizing the brake system. We have also added Race Pro 1 to 3 to the damping of the DDC in Road, Dynamic, Race mode in a performance-oriented manner. This makes it possible to ride along country roads with on-road damping characteristics, also in Race Pro 1-3.
The 6-stage DTC traction control with the new steering angle sensor enables two new functions: Brake Slide Assist for deceleration and Slide/Slip Control for acceleration. The new steering angle sensor measures your drift angle and, in conjunction with the DTC, helps provide optimum slip. DTC settings 2 and 3 have been optimized for the race track and slicks. Brake Slide Assist helps you master power slides like these in no time at all: for more dynamic performance around every turn. Thanks to the clearer illustration, you can now read the corresponding settings off the TFT display even more quickly. Always ride within your limits and within the law.

We understand that a used BMW motorcycle for sale may not be your first choice when thinking of buying a bike. But before you splash out on the latest, state-of-the-art models, check out why a second-hand machine may be a better option for you.
Used motorcycles are less expensive than brand-new ones. Choosing a 12-month-old model instead of a new bike can save you thousands of dollars. With a used model, you won’t have to pay extra costs like registration and road tax since the previous owner would have covered all the additional expenses. Plus, you will save on insurance, as this cost is typically based on the vehicle’s purchase price.
If you are looking for a bike to learn on, a used motorcycle is also a better option than a new one. Chances are that you will drop your machine many times before you get the hang of bike riding. So, you will be less worried about scratches if your motorcycle costs $5000 rather than $20,000. You may also want to buy a more powerful bike once you complete your training, so it will be better to spend less on your first motorcycle and start saving up for its replacement.
Second-hand motorbikes have been around for a longer period of time than new ones. This means that more people have tested and used these old models. So, you are more likely to find more reviews and other helpful information about your preferred used bike than if you are buying a brand new one.
A lot of riders like to personalize their motorcycles to their taste. So, they fit their machines with aftermarket accessories to enhance their look, safety, and performance. When you buy a used motorbike from a previous owner, you will also get all these upgrades, usually at no extra cost. So you will not have to go through the hassles of looking for compatible accessories and installing them on your motorcycle.
Although all vehicles reduce in value once they leave the showroom, new motorcycles depreciate more quickly than used ones. A brand-new bike loses half of its value within five years of purchase. So, if you intend to sell your machine in the future, you are more likely to receive a better return on your pre-owned model than if you purchase a new one.
